Santa vs Zenta
******************
What's wrong with Santa Claus?
Santa is a symbol for American consumer culture. He makes you
happy with stuff alone. You don't have to worry where it comes from (sweatshops?
eco-desasterland?), nor where it will go when you're tired of it. The more the
better. He is always busy so he can get more things for the kids. He looks cute
and friendly, but he has worked for the US military and Coca Cola. He poses
as European but he really is American (like Haagen Dazs icecream). He's one
of Michael Moore's stupid white men who hold all the power in the world and
still want us to love them. Still, we somehow want to believe in him, even though
we know he's a fake.

The Zenta Manifesto:
Zentas are not one, but many. Zentas are not 'stupid white men.'
Zentas don't run around busily, don't work hard. They don't laugh loudly, they
do not walk around with heavy bags of stuff. They just sit quietly.

They do not go to war and they do not drive around in cars or sleds. They do
not care if you are naughty or nice. They make a space for stillness and silence
in a noisy culture. They tell you not to believe in anything, but to find out
and think for yourself. They change themselves, connect and change the world.
